The School supports the music of Ely Cathedral by providing discounts for boy choristers, ex-choristers and members of the Girls’ Choir. Further funds are made available for allowances to the families of the Clergy and Armed Forces and for bursaries to children who would not otherwise be able to take advantage of the education on offer at The King’s School Ely, from which they will undoubtedly benefit. All bursary awards are strictly means-tested and reviewed on an annual basis.

Choral awards
The King’s School Ely believes that it has a duty to ensure the continuation of excellence in the School by the designation of awards to talented pupils. Such awards are restricted to 25% of tuition fees (15% in Junior School) and are subject to satisfactory performance and behaviour, reviewed on an annual basis. Award holders whose families are unable to meet the remaining fees may apply for bursary support.
